Distancing Done Right

Ever since the iPhone incident, Sha and I have yet to talk or text each other. This is the longest time in 7 years that we’ve gone without communication. At the beginning of the year, I stated in a post that I’d like to create distance from Sha. Well… I’ve done it. But I don’t like how it ended.

In my opinion, Sha believes I’m mad at him. He thinks I’m mad at him for what happened with the iPhone, as if I’m blaming him for the phone being messed up. Because he feels he’s in the right, he feels no need to call me. The truth is that it was my fault that the phone got messed up and I really don’t care about any of it. I like the distance and I want it to stay this way. I don't even mind if we stop talking altogether. But I don’t like it ending with me being in the wrong. It’s not good… for my ego. I wanted it to happen gradually so that the distancing would be natural, without any animosity on either sides. Ugh, why do I have to be so complicated?

I just sent him a text to see what’s up. I want things to stay as they are now, but without the subtle animosity. I set goals for the year and I’m accomplishing them… for that I’m proud. But they have to be done my way, or it’s not worth it.
